Welcome!
Jermaine and I are thrilled that you have joined us for our ‘virtual baby shower’, and do hope that you will stay awhile.
One of the many things that we were looking forward to with the excitement of our pending addition, was a baby shower celebration where we hoped to receive advice, ideas, traditions, wisdom, etc., from our friends and family near and far.
But… with the news that bed rest during this pregnancy was the best and safest route for us, and our sweet little girl, the thoughts of how to proceed with a traditional baby shower turned to ideas of a more unique gathering.
That said, we hope that you will join us for a few moments at your leisure, anytime between now and February 1st, here online at our virtual baby shower, where we welcome your words of wisdom, support and well wishes, and do hope that you will add a keepsake sentiment to help us memorialize this, our transition into parenthood.
We are grateful for all your support during this remarkable journey of ours, and look forward to introducing you to our beautiful baby girl… Aka (we can only assume...) the mountain biking, high heel wearing, bold, brave, beautiful, Bella Leslie Brown.
Much love,
Graham and Jermaine
I am already so in love with this baby girl!! And now with your choice of such a beautiful name, I am teary... Thanks guys...
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to be Auntie Karen to Bella!!
What a brave new world we're in! A virtual baby shower But, as you pointed out, a much better idea than attempting to have a real, live baby shower when you're laying on your bed, in the bedroom, down the hall, away from all the merriment!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love the name - she'll be the best of both of you, all wrapped up in beauty & charm.
Am assuming that you are registered at Pottery Barn Baby? And had to smirk when the first gift card I saw was for AMC Theatres - dare I say, its gonna be awhile before you're waltzing out for a leisurely evening at the movies!
All our very, very best to the both of you. Bella will be worth all the wait.

OMG - I'm so sorry for the circumstances that brought us to this virtual baby shower, although I LOVE this option! I'm sending you big big hugs right now... Ooops - no - make that lots of gentle little hugs! It can't be easy for YOU to take on the prescribed bedrest, so hopefully this virtual shower will keep you busy, comforted and smiling.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE the name Bella Brown, and what a bella little girl she'll be! Mountain biking, high-heeled, bold, brave, beautiful and true to her parent's love and dedication-I can see her now! I'm so happy for you two, and for her grandmas and grandpas too.
So I'm off to explore the net -i.e., baby shower shopping. Sending mucho mucho love and joy to you both. Until next time!
Lots and lots of love,
Judy
Parenthood is a privilege and the miracle of conception and childbirth are just that - a miracle even in this scientific age! We wish you all the best on this the most satisfying of life-changing events! Top tip: don't just buy one pacifier; buy ten! When you are crawling around in the dark looking for that dropped bit of peace and quiet you'll wish you had a spare (or ten).
ReplyDeleteVicky's top tip- take food to the hospital for Jermaine! It's amazing how hungry husbands get during the wife's labor!!!
Blessings to you two and Baby makes 3!
Jeff & Vicky
So I was telling Willie about your virtual baby shower and that we were to post advice or stories that we might have about raising babies. Willie looked at me and said as many stories or advice I have given Jermaine in the backyard, I'm sure they don't want to hear anything else I have to say. lol.... So with that said I wont say anymore.
ReplyDeleteI know we will be happy to see your pretty face coming and going again once you get off bed rest and we can't wait to meet our new neighbor, Bella Brown.
I know when she is old enough for the outside world and kicking balls with her high heels, the first thing my kids will teach her is "don't kick the ball against the fence"............ smile.
Dear Graham and Jermaine,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the impending arrival of Miss Bella ~ a beautiful name for a beautiful girl. This little bundle of joy is an honest to goodness miracle brought forth by the love and dedication that you two have for her and each other. Yours was an arduous journey, but you will come to realize that those challenges will make you appreciate what a gift Bella is that much more. You will be fantastic parents who surround your sweet girl with joy! The best advice I can give you would be to savor every single moment during the first couple of years because they are fleeting. Relish it! Breathe it in! Document everything (because you will be so dog-tired you won't remember the details) ~ take photos, write down your thoughts, take video ~ because all of a sudden your sweet little girl will be going off to kindergarten like our little Twinkies are this fall...**sniff**
I am overjoyed for you both! I hope that Baby Bella arrives on February 23rd...I need a birthday buddy!
Lots and lots of love,
~Joni xoxo
